En este lugar habia dos partes, mismas que se ilustran con todo detalle en la historia del rico y Lázaro, conforme a la narrativa biblica; pero no lo quieres creer, asi que mejor lo desechas.

Entonces, una de esas partes era llamada "lugar de tormento", ese es su nombre. Se le llama "infierno" en algunas traducciones, proque hace referencia al lugar que habíá fera de la ciudad donde se quemaba la basura, pero por mi puedes llamarlo com quieras (lugar de tormento estaria bien)

El otro lugar, separado por una sima muy grande es el paraiso o seno de Abraham esto era distinguido por los judios entonces, precedentes a la primera venida de Cristo.

Cristo lo aclara precisamente en Luc 16:19-31, pero esto ya era algo conocido por los judios.

Pero insito ponle el nombre que quieras al lugar de tormento ó infierno, total, lo mismo da.

El origen y fin de la doctrina del infierno es la parábola del rico y lázaro, no hay otra a lusión a ella en la biblia.

Si los judíos conocían esa historia, no es por mediode las escrituras, sino por medio de tradiciones.

Toda la descripción que haces del infierno se basa en la parábola del rico y Lázaro. No es así en la biblia, Hay muchos versículos distintos que prueban determinada enseñanza. En este caso no es así, la única referencia a este relato es lucas 16, por lo cual, no puede considerarse una revelación ni una descripción literal. Las enseñanzas bíblicas están ampliamente fundamentadas en la misma escritura.

Es un hecho que la escritura señala que antes de la venida de Cristo, las almas iban al Seol (1 S 28:15) y que los impíos mantienen ahí su personalidad en el Seol (Is 14:9,10; Ex 32:21-31), el Seol era considerado como un lugar de olvido y de reposo para el creyente (Job3:13-19), pero no de inexistencia.

El Seol era llamado así por los judíos para referirse al lugar donde se dirigen todos los muertos justos e injustos (Ec 9:3; 10) mientras que el patriarca que moría era unido a su pueblo (Gn 25:8...)Samuel afirma a Saúl y a sus hijos que al día siguiente ellos estarían donde él se encontraba (1 S 28:19); David llorando dijo qu él se reuniría con su hijo pequeño (2 S 12:23), y al morir el rey durmió con sus padres (1 R 2:10).

Se hablaba de "descender al seol", como si este estuviera cerca de la tumba o como si los cuerpos fueran depositados ahí Num 16:30-33; Ez 31:17; Am 9:2, Ef 4:9)

Digo todo esto, para que no venga aquí algún incrédulo a decir que todo esto son cuentos chinos y suposiciones del folclore popular judío.

Pro 5:5 Sus pies descienden a la muerte;
Sus pasos conducen al Seol.

Pro 7:27 Camino al Seol es su casa,
Que conduce a las cámaras de la muerte.

Pro 9:18 Y no saben que allí están los muertos;
Que sus convidados están en lo profundo del Seol.

Pro 15:24 El camino de la vida es hacia arriba al entendido,
Para apartarse del Seol abajo.

(Ricardo dio este verso como prueba del infierno, pero en realidad Seol es la sepultura, como se ha demostrado mediante estos pasajes de la escritura)

Job 14:10 Mas el hombre morirá, y será cortado;
Perecerá el hombre, ¿y dónde estará él?
Job 14:11 Como las aguas se van del mar,
Y el río se agota y se seca,
Job 14:12 Así el hombre yace y no vuelve a levantarse;
Hasta que no haya cielo, no despertarán,
Ni se levantarán de su sueño.

La muerte es sueño enseña este pasaje, que es corroborado con aquel otro pasaje que dice:" los muertos nada saben".
También enseña este pasaje que los muertos no despertarán hasta la resurrección, hasta que no haya cielo...recuerdan donde dice en apocalipsis: "el cielo se desvaneció como un pergamino que se enrolla"?

En ningún lado se habla de un lugar donde los muertos son torturados con fuego, simplemente dice la escritura que los muertos duermen, descansan, es decir, no tienen consciencia de nada. Nada de infierno.

Oso, una vez más, Seol, Hades, Gehena, seno de Abraham, Tartaroo, y paraíso, son conceptos ideados por los hombres no por Dios. ¿Te enteraste de esto o no?

Por ejemplo:

Hades. Al traducir el AT al griego ( •Septuaginta) fue necesario buscar una palabra que fuera equivalente al hebreo sheol. Se escogió Hades porque en la cultura griega ese nombre se aplicaba primero al dios del país de los muertos y luego al mismo lugar. Para los griegos la morada de los muertos era subterránea, un sitio oscuro, triste y sombrío, donde reinaba Plutón. Consecuentemente, donde el AT pone el término sheol los traductores pusieron “Hades”. Los autores del NT heredan ese uso.[FONT=&quot][1][/FONT]

Etimología del concepto.

Lk. 16:22 f. has religious significance: ἐγένετο δὲ ἀποθανεῖν τὸν πτωχὸν καὶ ἀπενεχθῆναι αὐτὸν … εἰς τὸν κόλπον Ἀβραάμ· ἀπέθανεν δὲ καὶ ὁ πλούσιος καὶ ἐτάφη. καὶ ἐν τῷ ᾅδῃ … ὁρᾷ Ἀβραὰμ ἀπὸ μακρόθεν καὶ Λάζαρον ἐν τοῖς κόλποις7 αὐτοῦ. In the first instance we are to think in terms of the feast of the blessed at which Lazarus takes the place of honour. But we have also to consider the possibility that v. 22f. are simply denoting the loving fellowship of Abraham with Lazarus quite apart from the feast of the blessed. Both ideas are found in Rabb. Judaism.8

Reception into Abraham’s bosom is found in the legend of the martyrdom of the mother and her 7 sons in Eka r. (ed. Buber, 1899, I, p. 43a). The mother says to her youngest son: “And you will be brought to the bosom of our father Abraham: [FONT=&quot]חיקו של אברהס אבינו ואתה ניתן בתוךְ[/FONT];9 Pesikt. r., 43 (180b): “Do you wish that all your brothers (without you) should in the future world lie in Abraham’s bosom?” [FONT=&quot]נתונים בחיקו של אברהם לעתיד לבא מה אתה מבקש שיהיו כל אחיךְ[/FONT]. b. Qid . 72a/b gives us what purports to be a vision of the dying patriarch Jehuda I, and in it we read of a certain rabbi that to-day he sits in Abraham’s bosom: [FONT=&quot]היום יושב בחיקו של אברהם[/FONT]. The κόλπος motif belongs to a wider circle of legends about Abraham’s work in the hereafter. This was probably taken over by Judaism, and it includes the motif of the meal, of rest, and of Abraham’s judging the dead (cf. Plat. Resp ., X, 614b), b . Eru b, 19a; Gn. r ., 48 on 18:1b, though this in a form which no longer allows us to establish any connection with the κόλπος motif.10
Although the κόλπος motif is well adapted to serve as a burial inscr., the Jews were content with general formulae, e.g., Ἐνθάδε κῖτε Ἰακώβ· Μετὰ τῶν ὁσίων ἡ κ[ύ]μησις [α]ὐτ<ι>οῦ,11 often μετὰ τῶν δικέων. So, too, were Christians, both in services and on tombstones: μετὰ τῶν δικαίων ἀνάπαυσον τὸν δοῦλόν σου or τὴν δούλην σου.12 On the other hand, in a prayer in Const. Ap., VIII, 41, 2 the righteous rest in the bosom of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. This later and more obscure formula, which may have been influenced by Mt. 8:11, finds a par. in Semachoth, VII (p. 7b, line 26): With two steps you will lie in the bosom of the righteous: [FONT=&quot]בחיקם של צדיקים[/FONT]. Examples take us into the 12th century, and show how popular the motif was. The reason why Lk. 16:22 f. had this influence in Egypt is that it corresponds to ancient Egyptian ideas. Abraham’s bosom is a place of pleasant coolness. Fresh water is available for Lazarus, v. 24. The rich man, however, languishes in the heat of Hades. This idea of refrigerium, of the quickening of the dead in the hereafter, is deeply rooted in Egyptian religion14—so much so that even in Rome followers of the Egyptian gods have written on their tombstones: “May Osiris grant thee cool water.”15 We have to assume, therefore, that the κόλπος motif became so widespread in Egypt because it represented the distinctive idea of refrigerium in a new Christian form.

No, yo no he dicho que en mi post # 561 haya contestado a tu cuestionario # 676, pero las preguntas que tú y otros vienen repitiendo, están respondidas a lo largo de las 46 páginas que llevaba el epígrafe.
Yo no me siento en el banquillo de los acusados, como obligado a responder al interrogatorio de un fiscal, juez y miembros del jurado.
Esto es un debate, no un juicio.
He sometido a discusión abierta mi propia convicción: "El relato del rico y Lázaro de Lucas 16 no es una parábola".
Si a tí te parece que todavía queda algún punto cuestionable no suficientemente tratado, estás en libertad de plantearlo y lo atenderé con todo gusto.
Pero no me atosigues con un fárrago de preguntas diversas pues soy hombre y no máquina capaz de hacer muchas cosas a la vez. Yo también soy y estoy limitado.Saludos cordiales.

Cuentos chinos, conjeturas. Descender al Seol es una expresión idiomática que significa morir. Abraham al morir regresó a Dios, eso es lo que enseña la biblia. Lo mismo sucedió con Jesús de Nazaret, que entregó al Padre su espíritu.

Ricardo, eso no es correcto, ya ha quedado demostrado que infierno es un concepto, y en e;l AT no existe la palabra infierno; Tienes una gran confusión de términos. Además, Nm.26:10 no dice que fueron al infierno, eso es otra de tus conjeturas, pues estás basando toda tu interpretación, en una idea errónea.

He sometido a discusión abierta mi propia convicción: "El relato del rico y Lázaro de Lucas 16 no es una parábola".
Si a tí te parece que todavía queda algún punto cuestionable no suficientemente tratado, estás en libertad de plantearlo y lo atenderé con todo gusto.
Pero no me atosigues con un fárrago de preguntas diversas pues soy hombre y no máquina capaz de hacer muchas cosas a la vez. Yo también soy y estoy limitado.Saludos cordiales.

En mi Mensaje # 687 decía: Respondiendo a la inquietud planteada en el post # 676 invito a cuantos de veras quieran leer las respuestas a las preguntas allí planteadas, tomarse el trabajo que otros no se han tomado y leerse las 46 páginas del tema.
No he asumido la autoría de todas las respuestas, pues Dagoberto y Oso mucho han trabajado en ello; por lo que recuerdo, todas fueron contestadas. Si algunas no, elige la que mejor te parezca y que no esté fuera del tema, propónla y con gusto la atenderé, como claramente te lo he dicho. Pero no me sometas a un interrogatorio absurdo pues por hacerte el gusto no aburriré a nuestras visitas.

Hablando de infiernos...Alguien podría explicarme como Santiago dice que la lengua es inflamada por el infierno???

Eso lo dice en sentido figurado... es decir, la lengua es inflamada de la maldad, malicia, iniquidad etc. etc.... elementos propios del mundo de maldad.

¿O pondrás en duda también lo que dice Santiago;... como lo que dijo Jesús?

In the first instance we are to think in terms of the feast of the blessed at which Lazarus takes the place of honour. But we have also to consider the possibility that v. 22f. are simply denoting the loving fellowship of Abraham with Lazarus quite apart from the feast of the blessed. Both ideas are found in Rabb. Judaism.8

Reception into Abraham’s bosom is found in the legend of the martyrdom of the mother and her 7 sons in Eka r. (ed. Buber, 1899, I, p. 43a). The mother says to her youngest son: “And you will be brought to the bosom of our father Abraham: [FONT=&quot]חיקו של אברהס אבינו ואתה ניתן בתוךְ[/FONT];9 Pesikt. r., 43 (180b): “Do you wish that all your brothers (without you) should in the future world lie in Abraham’s bosom?” [FONT=&quot]נתונים בחיקו של אברהם לעתיד לבא מה אתה מבקש שיהיו כל אחיךְ[/FONT]. b. The κόλπος motif belongs to a wider circle of legends about Abraham’s work in the hereafter. Eru b, 19a; Gn. r ., 48 on 18:1b, though this in a form which no longer allows us to establish any connection with the κόλπος motif.10
Although the κόλπος motif is well adapted to serve as a burial inscr., the Jews were content with general formulae, e.g., Ἐνθάδε κῖτε Ἰακώβ· Μετὰ τῶν ὁσίων ἡ κ[ύ]μησις [α]ὐτ<ι>οῦ,11 often μετὰ τῶν δικέων. So, too, were Christians, both in services and on tombstones: μετὰ τῶν δικαίων ἀνάπαυσον τὸν δοῦλόν σου or τὴν δούλην σου.12 On the other hand, in a prayer in Const. Ap., VIII, 41, 2 the righteous rest in the bosom of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. This later and more obscure formula, which may have been influenced by Mt. 8:11, finds a par. in Semachoth, VII (p. 7b, line 26): With two steps you will lie in the bosom of the righteous: [FONT=&quot]בחיקם של צדיקים[/FONT]. Abraham’s bosom is a place of pleasant coolness. Fresh water is available for Lazarus, v. 24. The rich man, however, languishes in the heat of Hades. This idea of refrigerium, of the quickening of the dead in the hereafter, is deeply rooted in Egyptian religion14—so much so that even in Rome followers of the Egyptian gods have written on their tombstones: “May Osiris grant thee cool water.”15 We have to assume, therefore, that the κόλπος motif became so widespread in Egypt because it represented the distinctive idea of refrigerium in a new Christian form.
