Re: PREGUNTA ESPECIALMENTE PARA LOS CATÓLICOS
¿No?

γυνή [gune /goo•nay/] n f. Probably from the base of 1096; TDNT 1:776; TDNTA 134; GK 1222; 221 occurrences; AV translates as “women” 129 times, and “wife” 92 times. 1 a woman of any age, whether a virgin, or married, or a widow. 2 a wife. 2A of a betrothed woman.
10.54
γυνήb, αικός f: a woman who is married to a man—‘wife.’ ὃς ἂν ἀπολύσῃ τὴν γυναῖκα αὐτοῦ, δότω αὐτῇ ἀποστάσιον ‘whoever divorces his wife must give her a certificate of divorce’ Mt 5.31. The distinctions in meaning of γυνήa ‘woman’ (9.34) and γυνήb ‘wife’ parallel those involving ἀνήρc and ἄνθρωποςc (see 10.53). A number of languages, however, employ essentially the same usage as Greek in that a wife is simply called ‘his woman,’ ‘my woman,’ etc. The contexts normally indicate clearly which meaning of γυνή is involved.
